Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday described the human mind as the “greatest miracle of life,” asserting that the future of Jammu and Kashmir’s development is deeply linked to the empowerment, creativity, and innovation of its youth.
Speaking at a public gathering, LG Sinha highlighted that the progress of the Union Territory depends on harnessing the potential of young people. “Jammu and Kashmir ka vikas seedha yuva shakti ke saath juda hua hai. We have to build an environment that transforms them into innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders of tomorrow,” he said.
Emphasising the power of intellect and education in shaping a progressive society, the Lieutenant Governor said that developing basic cognitive skills early in life can significantly enhance a person’s decision-making ability. “A child who learns simple calculations such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication at an early age develops sharper analytical and reasoning skills. These basic skills enable young minds to make effective and quick decisions,” he added.
In a thought-provoking analogy, LG Sinha referred to a global project undertaken by Google to count the number of books across libraries. “Google had found that there are nearly 13 crore unique books in the world. The knowledge contained in these books can fit into the brain of a human being,” he said, underlining the limitless potential of the human mind. “If a person learns to use his mind fully, the knowledge of the entire world can reside within him,” he remarked.
Encouraging the youth to think beyond conventional limits, LG Sinha called upon them to use their intellect and curiosity for nation-building. He stressed that nurturing young minds with knowledge, discipline, and innovative thinking will shape Jammu and Kashmir’s journey toward prosperity.
“The future of this region lies in the hands of our youth. Empowering them to explore, question, and create is the key to a vibrant and progressive Jammu and Kashmir,” he concluded.
