Agnipath Recruitment row: Haryana CM Khattar guarantees state job for ‘agniveers’

As the protests over the Agnipath recruitment scheme is escalating, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has asserted that his state will provide the ‘agniveers’ with state jobs after they conclude their tenure of four years.

The Haryana CM on Tuesday took to Twitter to announce the guaranteed jobs to those who would be recruited through the Agnipath scheme.  

"I announce to provide guaranteed jobs in State government to Agniveers after four-year service to the nation under Agnipath scheme," Khattar tweeted.

Meanwhile, protest across the nation against the government is gaining momentum. In Haryana also, several protests erupted over the controversial recruitment scheme. several places where the protests erupted in Haryana include Faridabad, Hisar, Jind, Palwal, etc.

Also, more than 1000 youths have been booked for alleged connection with stone-pelting and arson in Haryana. Scores of protests involved blocking state highways, and damaging police and government vehicles. Police have confirmed that many suspects have also been identified.
