As the Kashmir valley is gearing up for Amarnath Yatra, security brings high-tech gadgets in use to ward off any unwanted activities.
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), will be provided with advanced equipment for the first time during the annual pilgrimage as the valley is facing threats of the use of sticky bombs by militants.
One of the CRPF officers recently said that there is a concern over terrorist groups possessing "sticky bombs", explosives that can be attached to vehicles and detonated remotely.
The detailed specifications of these gadgets have not been revealed by the authorities due to security reasons.
In the meantime, the online registration for the Yatra has already begun and the pilgrimage is scheduled to kick off on June 30 and August 11.
The Amarnath shrine is a cave shrine of Lord Shiva, located 3,880-metre-high in the upper reaches of Pahalgam.
