BSF in a statement said, "This morning at about 0415 am a blinking light suspected to be a drone observed in Arnia area. Alert BSF troops fired at it due to which it returned."
On Thursday, Border Security Force (BSF) fired at a drone near the international border in the Arnia sector in Jammu and Kashmir. The drone was noticed at around 4;15 am and was immediately shot at by the security forces.
BSF in a statement said, "This morning at about 0415 am a blinking light suspected to be a drone observed in Arnia area. Alert BSF troops fired at it due to which it returned."
The officials said that the drone was flying at a height of around 300 meters. The security forces also revealed that such drone activities from Pakistan have been incessantly observed in the past too.
Also, after detecting the gadget, the BSF has launched a combined search operation in the area.
Similar drone activities were also noticed along the border area in the Jammu on May 15, and February 24, resulting in the Special Operation Group launching a search operation and eventually seizing a drone carrying three remote-controlled IEDs, detonators, 3 explosive bottles, one bundle of Cordtex wire, two IED timers, one pistol, two magazines, six grenades, and 70 rounds.
