On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Rajkot to dedicate a hospital. He recalled how the Sardar Sarovar project was accomplished despite all obstacles. Gujarat had not seen progress and growth prior to 2001, according to Modi, but the state has now developed in education, industries, and infrastructure thanks to his initiative. Playing the regional card, Modi stated that his government follows Mahatma Gandhi’s Swadeshi doctrine and is implementing the Swadeshi Arth-niti. Gandhi and Patel were constantly concerned with the upliftment of the poor, and the Modi government is committed to this cause. In order to reach out to the locals, he addressed them in Gujarati. Notably, the BJP-led state will have Assembly elections before the end of the year.

The Prime minister had earlier in the day dedicated the 200-bed K.D. Parvadia hospital in Atkot, Rajkot district, Saurashtra region. The superspeciality hospital is being built with a Rs 40 crore investment. The institution was founded by Leuva Patidar activist and BJP member Bharat Boghra and his family. Boghra is the Gujarat unit’s vice president.
