Ahead of Amarnath Yatra, security forces successfully shelved a major terror attack after seizing weapons from Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Tuesday. As per the official statement, five IEDs, five detonators, and ten fuses were recovered in the area and the search is still going on.
In a separate incident, Police detained two militants. After questioning them, they revealed that they were conniving to execute a major attack during the Amarnath Yatra.
Also, the other two militants who were behind the attacks in the UT in March and April were arrested by the police. The arrested militants were identified as Mohammad Shabir and Mohammad Sadiq.
Ahead of Amarnath Yatra, the security in Jammu and Kashmir has been beefed up. Security forces are on their toes and are conducting intense search operations to put a tab on terror attacks. As per the reports, several terror groups, including Al Qaida and Jaish-e-Mohammad are planning to unleash several attacks in J&K during the Amarnath Yatra.
