Amid soaring Covid cases, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray calls for task force meeting today

Currently, there are 4,032 active cases in Maharashtra and the fatality rate stands at 1.87 percent. Whereas, the recovery rate has ascended to 98.07 percent. Maharashtra's active tally of cases now stands at 4,032

As Maharashtra is once again witnessing a surge of fresh Covid cases, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has called a meeting to review the situation. The meeting is slated to place at around 6 pm on Thursday.


As per the state health department, Maharashtra registered 1,081 fresh Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, the highest daily rise after February 24. However, no fatality was reported in the last 24 hours. 739 fresh infections were reported from Mumbai. 


Currently, there are 4,032 active cases in Maharashtra and the fatality rate stands at 1.87 percent. Whereas, the recovery rate has ascended to 98.07 percent. Maharashtra's active tally of cases now stands at 4,032.

Kerala is also witnessing a spike in the cases. The state recorded 1,370 covid cases in the last 24 hours. Though 630 people have also recovered in the meantime.
