Ex-judges, bureaucrats, retired officers slam Supreme Court over its comments on Nupur Shamra

Fifteen former judges, 77 ex-bureaucrats, and 25 retired officers of the armed forces wrote an open letter criticizing the 2 bench- judges by saying that their recent observation that Nupur Sharma was wholly responsible for the violence in the country

Reacting to Supreme Court judges slamming former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma over her comment on Prophet Mohammad, several judges, bureaucrats, and retired officers have criticized the two judges and termed their comment as ‘outrageous’.


Fifteen former judges, 77 ex-bureaucrats, and 25 retired officers of the armed forces wrote an open letter criticizing the 2 bench- judges by saying that their recent observation that Nupur Sharma was wholly responsible for the violence in the country.


The open letter also criticized the Supreme court judges for blaming Nupur Sharma for the killing of 47-year-old tailer Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur. 


 Earlier, Nupur Sharma approached the supreme and requested that all FIRs lodged against her be transferred to Delhi due to security reasons. but, responding to the plea, the Supreme court slammed Sharma for her comment on the prophet.
