Foreign Minister S Jaishakar, JP Nadda meet Communist Party leader of Vietnam Nguyen Van Nen

The visit of Vietnamese politicians to India marks the 50thanniversaryr of the diplomatic relationship between the two countries. the delegation aims to uplift and strengthens the cooperation of the countries and further cement the Vietnam-India strategic partnership

The external affairs minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday met politburo member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Van Nen on Monday. 


The visit of Vietnamese politicians to India marks the 50thanniversaryr of the diplomatic relationship between the two countries. the delegation aims to uplift and strengthens the cooperation of the countries and further cement the Vietnam-India strategic partnership.


Earlier, BJP president JP Nadda also held a meeting with Van Nen at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. The meeting was also attended by the party’s national general secretary, B.L. Santhosh, and Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale who is in charge of BJP’s foreign affairs department.


Releasing a statement regarding the visit of Vietnamese delegates to BJP HQ, the BJP said that the purpose of the visit was to get a better understanding of the functioning of the party and uplift the cooperation between the two governments.


The statement further added Van Nen also extended his thanks to prime minister Narendra Modi and India for lending their hands in the tough times when Vietnam was battling the Covid-19 pandemic.


Also, to display the cooperation between the two countries, the statue of the stalwart leader of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh will be erected in front of the Vietnam Embassy in Delhi.
