Modi 3.0 Completes One Year, Celebrates 11 Years of Governance

May 16, 2014, was a landmark day for the Bharatiya Janata Party — a turning point that transformed India’s political landscape. It’s now been 11 years since that historic victory, with the BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government firmly holding power. After winning the 2024 general elections, last year exactly today (June 9), Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister of the country, forming the Modi Government 3.0. 


To mark this occasion, the party shared messages on social media using the hashtag #11YearsOfSeva (11 years of service) to highlight their achievements and initiatives over the past 11 years in power.


A clear focus on good governance and transformation, PM Modi said of the last 11 years as his government finished the first year of its third term on Monday.


In a statement issued to mark the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that schemes such as Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Aushadhi, and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi have given "new wings to the hopes" of the people. He stated, “Every effort in these 11 years has been made with devotion and a spirit of service to make citizens’ lives easier.”


In his post on social media platform X, PM Modi said Powered by the blessings and collective participation of 140 crore Indians, India has witnessed rapid transformations across diverse sectors. 


Prime Minister Modi said, "We are proud of our collective success, but at the same time, we look ahead with hope, confidence and a renewed resolve to build a Viksit Bharat."


He shared the message on social media using the hashtag #11YearsOfSeva (11 years of service), along with links highlighting key achievements and transformations across various sectors during his tenure.


The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has highlighted the transformative role played by women in the journey towards a developed India, underlining the government’s focus on women-led development over the past 11 years.


He said that our mothers, sisters and daughters have seen times when they had to face difficulties at every step. But today, they are not only actively participating in the development of a modern India, but are also setting examples in every field, from education to business. Shri Modi further added that the successes of Nari Shakti in the last 11 years are a matter of pride for all citizens.


On this occasion, Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda highlighted the key achievements of the government since 2014 in a press conference on Monday, June 9.


He appreciated PM Modi's efforts towards the growth of the Indian economy. “In the last 11 years, we jumped to the fifth position from the 10th position in the world's economies. The new data from the IMF will bring us to the fourth position. We have been the fastest economy in the world,” he said. 


Highlighting the Modi government's achievements over the past 11 years, BJP National President J.P. Nadda credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming India's political culture, governance model, and welfare delivery. He stressed that the government has not just spoken about eradicating poverty but has delivered results, lifting 25 crore people out of poverty and reducing extreme poverty by 80%.


Elaborating on the government’s welfare initiatives for marginalised communities, the BJP National President said, “Over the past decade, we have worked with deep concern for all sections of society, including SC, ST, and OBC communities. At the same time, we have actively promoted the vision of Women-Led Development.” He emphasized that the inclusive approach has been central to the party’s governance model, reflecting its commitment to social justice and empowerment.


He also pointed to the completion of landmark infrastructure projects like the Chenab Bridge, which had been pending for decades. Criticising the pre-2014 governments for corruption and division, Nadda said PM Modi replaced negativism with a culture of performance, accountability, and optimism, encapsulated in the slogan "Modi hai to mumkin hai."


He reiterated that the government’s development model is driven by the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, with the ultimate goal of building a Viksit Bharat.
