On Monday, PM Narendra Modi will introduce several programmes for farmers at Kisan Samman Sammelan.
On October 17, 2022, at the mela field of the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the two-day event "PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022."
Narendra Singh Tomar, the minister of agriculture and farmers' welfare, told the media today in New Delhi that the prime minister will give the 12th instalment of 16,000 crore rupees through direct benefit transfer during the Sammelan under the PM-KISAN flagship programme.
The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, announced today at a press conference that through the "PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022" organised by his ministry and the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri Modi will address millions of farmers, agribusiness start-ups, researchers, policymakers, bankers, and other stakeholders.
On this occasion, the prime minister would direct benefit transfer Rs. 16,000 crores as the 12th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) flagship initiative (DBT). The prime minister will also inaugurate the Kisan Sammelan's Agri Start-up Conclave-cum-Exhibition. Additionally, he will formally open 600 PM Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSK) built by the Union Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers and introduce the One Nation One Fertilizer initiative for farmers.
Over a crore, farmers will virtually participate in this event. Additionally participating online in the event are 732 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), 75 ICAR Institutes, 75 State Agricultural Universities, 600 PM Kisan Centres, 50,000 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies, and 2 Lakh Community Service Centres (CSCs). Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, as well as Shri Kailash Choudhary and Ms Shobha Karandlaje, Ministers of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, will attend the ceremony's opening.
