On Saturday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi resumed the "Bharat Jodo Yatra" at Raichur, Karnataka's Yeragera village.

Around 5.30 pm today, the Congress leader is anticipated to address a crowd at Basaveshwara Circle Ground.

"On this day in 1963, then PM, Jawaharlal Nehru dedicated the Bhakra Nangal Dam to the nation. A pioneering development project aimed at boosting India's industrial prowess, this engineering marvel was one of the 'temples of modern India' commissioned by Nehru ji," Congress tweeted.

A total of 2355 kilometres will be added to the 3570 km long Yatra, which began on September 7 in Kanniyakumari.

The party also said, "On this day in 2008, India launched its first Moon Mission, Chandrayaan-1 under the leadership of then PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, the launch of which marked the first step of a historic milestone in India's space programme."

The Bharat Jodo Yatra's Andhra Pradesh leg came to an end on October 21. Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, thanked the public on Friday for their resounding support and vowed to keep his promises to them.

The Wayanad MP stated in a message to the residents of Andhra Pradesh, "This morning, as the Bharat Jodo Yatra completes its journey through Andhra Pradesh, we thank the people for their overwhelming support and encouragement. It has truly been a memorable experience."

He claimed that discussions he had with various groups while on the Yatra in Andhra Pradesh had made a number of important issues affecting the populace more apparent.

The Congress party is steadfast in its commitment to give Andhra Pradesh special category status and to create a single capital in Amaravati. We are in favour of keeping the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant in the public sector as a resource for the Indian people. We saw that the state government in Andhra Pradesh has been gradually undermining the Panchayati Raj system, and we strongly reject this attack on democratic institutions. We'll also keep amplifying the voices of the numerous stakeholders we engaged with over the past three days, including farmers, young people, women, and workers, the leader of Congress stated.

Recalling the commitments made to the Andhra Pradeshi people in 2014, the previous president of the Congress declared that his party is committed to ensuring that the promises made are kept.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra's Andhra Pradesh leg ended on Friday, and the march then resumed into Karnataka.

Rahul Gandhi began his padayatra again on Friday morning at Mantralayam Temple Circle in the Andhra Pradesh district of Kurnool.

He crossed the Andhra border at Panchmukhi Arch, Gillesugur, Raichur in Karnataka.

Rahul Gandhi had previously stated that the Bharat Jodo Yatra received a fantastic amount of support in Andhra Pradesh and mentioned that his party's leaders were also somewhat taken aback by the enthusiasm and response.

On October 18, the Yatra reached Andhra Pradesh.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra will traverse as many as 12 states beginning on September 7, 2022.

The Yatra travelled a distance of 25 kilometres per day from Kanyakumari to Kashmir the following year.

The 3500-kilometer yatra will be a historic event for the Congress and the entire country. The Congress claimed earlier that it was the longest political march on foot in Indian history.
