Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has strongly refuted recent media reports linking employee Nida Khan with an HR managerial position, stating that she neither held any HR role nor any leadership responsibilities within the company. The clarification comes amid ongoing public attention over allegations connected to the company’s Nashik unit.
According to TCS’s official statement, Nida Khan worked as a process associate and was not part of the Human Resources department in any managerial or recruitment capacity. The company emphasized that several media reports had incorrectly described her as an HR manager, which it has now categorically denied.
TCS CEO and Managing Director K. Krithivasan reiterated that Khan “was neither an HR manager nor responsible for recruitment” and confirmed that she did not hold any supervisory or leadership position in the organization. The company also stated that internal records and preliminary reviews have not found any formal complaints related to the allegations being circulated through ethics or POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) channels.
In response to the broader controversy at its Nashik facility, TCS has initiated a multi-layered investigation. The company has engaged independent external firms, including Deloitte and a law firm, to assist in examining the matter. An oversight committee chaired by an independent director has also been set up to monitor the inquiry and ensure transparency in the process.
TCS further clarified that its operations in Nashik remain fully functional and unaffected. It also reiterated its “zero tolerance” policy towards workplace misconduct and assured full cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
The issue gained widespread attention after multiple reports and social media discussions linked Khan to senior HR responsibilities. However, TCS has consistently maintained that these claims are inaccurate.
The company’s latest statement aims to correct what it describes as “misrepresentation of roles” while the internal and external investigations continue. Officials have indicated that further actions will depend on the findings of the ongoing probe.
As the situation develops, TCS has urged the public and media to rely on verified information and avoid spreading unconfirmed claims regarding employees and internal processes.
