On the occasion of World environment day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath planted saplings at the Gaushala of the Gorakhnath temple complex in Gorakhpur. The day also coincides with the CM’s birthday.
Speaking on the occasion, Yogi emphasized the importance of conserving the environment. “Protection of humans is only possible through a clean environment.”
He also said the government is tirelessly working to keep the environment clean, but common citizens should also act responsibly and the onus lies upon them as well to keep nature clean.
“It is very important that along with government and various other organizations, even common citizens take the initiative to keep the environment clean”, he said.
On the occasion, he also advocated the importance of forestation, saying that planting and conserving trees are the solutions to save the environment.
“On this World Environment Day, I congratulate the entire 23 crore people of UP and I urge them to take a resolution towards planting 23 crore trees in the state. it is a big but necessary goal,” Yogi Adityanath said.
