After Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced that he will go for the floor test and prove a majority, the Eknath Shinde-led rebel group confirmed they are moving to Goa today.
The Shiv Sena dissident group is currently staying in Guwahati, Assam. As per the sources, the rebel group has booked more than 70 rooms in Goa’s luxury hotel Taj Resort & Convention Centre.
The rebel camp is expected to get aboard a private jet and will land in Goa at around 4:30 pm today. Ahead of their travel, buses are ready at Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati where the Shinde and his associates are staying. Security has also been beefed up around the hotel.
After Assam, the rebel camp zeroed in on Goa because the state is ruled by the BJP and will be a better option to spear for the Maharashtra assembly session scheduled for tomorrow, June 30.
