Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, stated on Sunday that he could never forget the 102 MLAs who helped the Congress administration survive the political crisis of 2020.

He claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attempted to oust 102 MLAs by making individual offers of Rs 10 crore or more to those who backed him.

"How is it possible to forget the 102 MLAS who saved the government? I had to apologise to Sonia Gandhi for this. Every time, BJP will look for ways to undermine the administration. Amit Shah held a meeting at that time." According to Gehlot, they were "feeding sweets" to their MLAs.

"I can't possibly forget the kindness of those 102 people. Upon leaving the hotel, there were offers of Rs 10 crore for each person. Later, this sum went up. Horse trading led to political transformation in numerous states. They were unsuccessful in Rajasthan, though. We overcame a severe problem thanks to everyone's collaboration. How then can I forget about them?" he added.

He responded that Mallikarjun Kharge is a person of great expertise and a pure heart when asked about the election of the National President of the Congress. Although Shashi Tharoor is a good individual as well, Kharge has more tenure within the organization. He predicted that Kharge will win the president post with a unilateral victory.

When asked if a change of guard was possible in Rajasthan, Gehlot responded that the party's top command will make that decision."

I'm doing my job, and the party high command should make any decisions that need to be made," he said. He attacked the lawmakers who had rebelled against him in 2020, claiming they were working closely with the BJP: Gehlot suggested that Sachin Pilot should be investigated for anti-party activities without mentioning him by name. He spoke, "It should be investigated as to why there was hostility among MLAs over the name of a new Chief Minister in the state," he said.
