Uddhav Thackeray, the chief minister of Maharashtra, switches course, but Eknath Shinde rejects the newest call for his return

“As head of the Shiv Sena family, I respect your feelings and want to tell you from the heart that there is still time. I appeal to all of you to sit in front of me and get rid of the doubts in the minds of Shiv Sainiks and the public. We will sit together and find a way out.”

Thackeray said, “The respect accorded to you by the Shiv Sena, you will not find anyplace else,” in reference to the rebels perhaps joining the BJP. As the family’s head, he expressed concern for them and asked them to come and chat. The first cabinet meeting after nine dissident ministers lost their positions was presided over by Thackeray on Tuesday in Mantralaya.

The appeal, nevertheless, was rejected by Shinde. “On the one hand, Balasaheb’s Shiv Sainiks are referred to as pigs, buffaloes, filth, dogs, and corpses by your son and spokesperson. On the other hand, there is a request for the anti-Hindu MVA administration to be saved by all of the same MLAs. Why does this matter?”

He refuted the Sena’s assertions that they had contact with 20 dissident MLAs who would eventually support the government. “You don’t communicate with any other party official or leader than Eknath Shinde. Misinformation should not be spread to the public or Shiv Sainiks, “Tweeted he.

Raut nevertheless persisted with his jeers. He counselled the BJP to remain out of the state’s political issue. “I caution him not to go near the newly formed pond. Frogs can be found in the pond. The reputations of Fadnavis, Prime Minister Modi, and the BJP will all suffer if they attempt to enter the pond “added he. Raut later remarked, “Traitors should not be permitted to wander the streets,” at a gathering in Alibaug. He further inquired as to why the insurgents were accusing NCP. “Exactly why are they grumbling? They were members of the NCP until yesterday “said he. “Return chief minister Uddhav Thackeray to Varsha,” he urged the throng.
