AIIMS Team to Conduct Autopsy in Bengal Schoolgirl Murder Case

In a shocking development, a court in Bengal has ordered a specialized team from AIIMS to conduct a fresh autopsy of a schoolgirl, allegedly raped and murdered. The incident, which has sparked widespread protests, has put the spotlight back on the state's handling of crimes against women and minors.

The schoolgirl’s body was discovered last week in a remote area, raising immediate suspicions of foul play. Local authorities had initially conducted an autopsy, but discrepancies in the report led the victim's family to demand a more thorough investigation. In response, the court has now involved AIIMS, one of the country’s top medical institutions, to provide a detailed analysis of the cause of death.

Protests have erupted in several parts of Bengal, with people demanding swift justice for the victim. Women's rights groups and student bodies have joined hands, calling for stringent action against the perpetrators.

The case has also taken a political turn, with opposition parties accusing the government of failing to ensure the safety of young girls. Security has been heightened in sensitive areas as tensions rise.

The AIIMS team is expected to conduct the autopsy in the coming days, and the court has promised to monitor the investigation closely. The results of this autopsy could play a crucial role in shaping the future course of the case.
