BJP Slams Mamata for Flood Mismanagement
Accusing her of turning flood relief into a publicity stunt, BJP criticized Mamata Banerjee's handling of the recent West Bengal floods, calling it ineffective.*
In the wake of severe flooding in several parts of West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of mismanaging the crisis. According to BJP leaders, Banerjee's flood relief efforts have been nothing more than a public relations exercise, failing to deliver real help to the affected residents.
Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari criticized Banerjee, saying, "People are tired of your PR event. While citizens suffer, you're more focused on media appearances than offering genuine relief."
The BJP highlighted that several districts remain waterlogged, with inadequate rescue operations and poor government support. The party claimed that many flood victims are still waiting for essential supplies like food, clean water, and medical assistance.
Banerjee, on the other hand, has defended her government's actions, stating that relief efforts are in full swing and accusing the BJP of politicizing a natural disaster. She assured that every affected person would receive adequate help, despite the challenges posed by continuous rains.
As the flood situation worsens, the political blame game has intensified, with both parties gearing up for the upcoming state elections. For many residents, however, the focus remains on surviving the disaster and finding shelter amid the ongoing crisis.
