Those bright early sunshine hours turned spine-chilling cold morning temperatures. As per recorded by India's Met Office, cloud cover with a bit of drizzle would compound the miserable conditions in the capital. With drastic mercury levels lowering, Delhi appeared lethargic in contrast to its usual hustle bustle. 

The sudden chill wave struck as much into throngs of daily commuters as into rail services. While trains were delayed between one to four hours due to fog and bad visibility, railway officials assured passengers that arrangements had been made to lessen their inconvenience.

This sudden sudden fall in temperature has found sparks among the residents. All query the authorities' readiness in tackling such weather abnormalities. Some are comfortable with the winter feel that crisp, whilst others struggle with health issues and logistics.
