India continues to witness an upward trend in fresh Covid-19. Union Health Ministry stated that the country recorded 3303 cases and 39 fatalities in the last 24 hours.
The freshly reported cases have raised the total tally of active cases to 16,980. The data shared by the ministry also revealed that 2563 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.74%.
The ministry also stated that the weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 0.61 percent, whereas the daily positivity rate is recorded to be 0.66 percent.
Also, 4,97,669 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the country, hence taking the total tests to over 83.64 Crore.
Delhi leads the list of the most active region in the country. The National capital reported 1,367 fresh Covid-19 cases and one death in the last 24 hours.
Earlier, on March 16, the country started the COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years and so far, more than 2.78 Cr adolescents have been administered with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Similarly, the booster dose for the age group 18-59 years also commenced from 10 April 2022 onwards.
