ISKCON Employee Runs Away with Temple Funds
An employee of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness has allegedly run away with temple funds and a receipt book, which has brought shock to the temple authorities. Recently, the incident has highlighted the concern issues over the issue of internal security and trust within this organization.
According to reports, he was made in charge of taking care of the temple and the transaction with respect to money. In addition, it is also alleged that he had a substantial amount of money and a cash receipt book containing accounts for which donations were done normally.
The officials of ISKCON have filed a complaint to the local police, which started an investigation tracing the suspect along with the lost funds in this case. "We are fully cooperating with the authorities and are hopeful for a swift resolution," says a temple spokesperson.
This has raised several questions regarding whether more checks and monitoring in financial matters need to be made for the employees handling such sensitive resources. Devotees and well-wishers are not satisfied with this situation and demand that the temple administration should take concrete steps so that such a breach is not repeated.
As the inquiry continues, actions are taken that focus on collecting the stolen amount and regaining the trust of the community from which ISKCON has sought spiritual and social support for quite a long period.
