Kharge: Statehood First for J&K, Beware of BJP's Tricks  
 
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge declared that restoring Jammu & Kashmir's statehood will be the party's first priority if voted into power. Addressing a rally in the region, Kharge strongly criticized the BJP, accusing the party of misleading the people of J&K with false promises. He cautioned the public to be wary of the BJP's "deceitful tactics" aimed at dividing the state’s residents and undermining their rights.

Kharge further emphasized that the Congress party is committed to restoring the democratic rights of the people by holding fair elections and ensuring full statehood. He slammed the BJP-led central government for stripping J&K of its statehood status in 2019 and failing to deliver on its promises of development and peace.

The Congress leader also reassured the people of Jammu & Kashmir that his party stands with them in their fight for justice and equality. “We will fight together to restore your dignity and protect your rights,” Kharge said.

With the upcoming assembly elections drawing near, Kharge urged the citizens to remain vigilant and choose wisely, emphasizing the importance of restoring democratic governance to the region. The Congress party has also promised economic development, job creation, and improved infrastructure as part of their vision for the future of Jammu & Kashmir.
