In a crucial meeting held today, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee successfully resolved the ongoing strike by junior doctors after several hours of negotiations. The junior doctors, who had been protesting against frequent assaults in hospitals, demanded immediate action to ensure their safety.

Mamata Banerjee assured the doctors that new security measures would be implemented in all state-run hospitals. A proposal to increase the number of CCTV cameras, hire more security personnel, and improve the infrastructure for patient monitoring was discussed. She also promised that strict legal action would be taken against anyone involved in assaulting medical staff.

In addition, the CM announced the formation of a grievance redressal committee, consisting of senior doctors, hospital management, and representatives from the junior doctors’ association. This committee will meet regularly to address concerns and prevent future escalations.

After the assurances were made, the junior doctors expressed satisfaction with the decisions and agreed to call off their strike. Medical services, which had been disrupted for the past few days, will now return to normal across the state.

The junior doctors, however, warned that they would resume their protest if the promises made by the government are not fulfilled within the agreed time frame. Banerjee requested them to remain patient as her government works on swift implementation of the promised changes.
