Milan's Magic Lights the Super Cup Stage  

In the Italian Super Cup final, held at a crowded stadium, AC Milan went to the stage and swooped into the car where they would have a chance to meet city rivals Inter Milan and turned around Juventus. The match tested the mental and tactical strength of the Stefano Pioli's men.  

It was all over in the first half for Buchi, with a stunning goal from Federico Chiesa giving Juventus the lead before they had ever really settled down. The goal, as it turned out, was to reflexively set Milan on the defensive. Milan responded with all-inclusive assault pressure, and they had Rafael Leão and Olivier Giroud scoring in the second half to change their fortunes.  

The game contained its share of controversy, however: Juventus protested a penalty that allowed Milan to go level. However, the last stages of the match lent no further ambivalence to Milan's dominance.
