PDP likely to field Nayeem Akhter or Rafiq Rather from Bl'a LS Constituency
Srinagar, Feb 29 (RNA): Amid uncertainty regarding PDP's inclusion in the INDIA alliance, the party reportedly held its first meeting, albeit secretly for picking up probables for Baramulla LS Constituency. Reliable sources told RNA that all district Presidents of North Kashmir including Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora had a marathon meeting at an undisclosed location on Wednesday to recommend probables for the North Kashmir seat.
If sources are to be believed, some top leaders from the Party's central leadership were also in touch during the meeting. Youth President Irfan Ali was also reportedly present in the meeting. One of the leaders present in the meeting told RNA on the condition of anonymity that several names have been recommended for consideration to the Party's Parliamentry Board.
Interestingly the leaders have- according to Sources- recommended Former Minister Nayeem Akhter and Party' Spokespersons Mohammad Rafique Rather and Suhail Bukhari for consideration. Another leader present in the meeting told RNA that Irfan Ali's name has also been included in the list of probables but added that the final call would be taken by the Parliamentary board. RNA
