City officials are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a seamless experience for the Prime Minister. Streets are being beautified, lighting systems are upgraded, and cultural spots are being refurbished to showcase Prayagraj’s spiritual grandeur. However, critics argue that such visits often turn into PR exercises, sidelining critical local issues. “While the city shines for the PM’s visit, residents still grapple with water scarcity and unplanned urban growth,” said activist Shalini Dubey.

With December 13 nearing, the city remains a blend of anticipation and scrutiny. Whether the visit brings long-term benefits or fleeting glory remains to be seen, but Prayagraj is undoubtedly in the spotlight.
