Terrorist Eliminated in Baramulla Hours After 2 Soldiers Die in Kishtwar Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit

In a series of tense developments ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu and Kashmir, a terrorist was neutralized in Baramulla after an encounter with security forces early this morning. The operation comes just hours after two Indian Army soldiers lost their lives in a separate encounter in Kishtwar district.

Security forces in Baramulla launched the operation after receiving specific intelligence about the presence of militants in the area. The encounter, which lasted several hours, led to the death of the terrorist, whose identity is yet to be confirmed. No reports of casualties among security forces have been received from this particular encounter.

In a separate incident, the two soldiers in Kishtwar were fatally wounded while engaging terrorists late last night. These back-to-back attacks have heightened security concerns, as Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive in the region later today.

Security forces have ramped up vigilance across Jammu and Kashmir, with additional personnel deployed to secure key locations. PM Modi’s visit is considered significant for reviewing the current security situation and addressing developmental issues in the region.

The back-to-back encounters are likely to impact the Prime Minister's visit as forces continue to maintain a strong security perimeter. Further updates are awaited as operations continue in both Baramulla and Kishtwar to secure the region.
