Usman Majid Meets Students To Have Open Conversation On Poll Manifesto

Former Minister and MLA Bandipora Usman Majid on Saturday, met with a delegation of students and youth for an open and engaging conversation about his upcoming poll manifesto. The delegation was led by Azhar Lone, an eminent footballer from the Bandipora constituency. Recognizing the critical role of youth in shaping the future, Majid sought to connect with the younger generation and ensure their voices were heard.

During the meeting, the students raised a wide range of issues, including the unemployment crisis, the need for reservation, the establishment of a women’s degree college in Bandipora, improving national highway and railway connectivity, preserving Kashmiri Pandit culture, ensuring the rights of the tribal community are protected, addressing concerns around the recruitment process, promoting women empowerment, resolving issues faced by the fisherman community, and the upgradation and development of schools and their infrastructure.

Majid assured the delegation, "You will see that I will push these things in the manifesto." He emphasized his commitment to addressing the challenges raised by the students and ensuring their concerns are represented at the highest levels of government.

The student delegation expressed hope that Majid would not only include their suggestions in his manifesto but also work diligently to implement them if elected. This interaction is part of Majid's broader effort to engage with all sections of society and craft a manifesto that genuinely reflects the needs and desires of the people of the Bandipora constituency. He reiterated that empowering the youth and addressing their concerns would be central to his agenda, promising to work tirelessly to bring about positive change for the region.

Majid also addressed a series of meetings in various areas of the Bandipora constituency, including Chuntawari, Chechinara, Kemah, Bapora, and other regions. These meetings were part of his ongoing efforts to intensify his election campaign and strengthen his support base.

During these gatherings, Majid warmly welcomed several political workers from various parties—including the PDP, Congress, and others—who joined him in his caravan. Expressing his delight at the new additions to his political camp, Majid stated that the strength and unity brought by this merger would greatly enhance their collective efforts to serve the people of Bandipora. He remarked, "The joining of these new entrants and workers from different political parties strengthens our collective resolve to work for Bandipora's development. Their trust and support are a testament to the shared vision of a prosperous future for our constituency."

Welcoming the new entrants, Majid acknowledged their importance and stated that their joining is a significant boost to his campaign. He encouraged the workers to intensify their efforts and strengthen their commitment to ensure a decisive victory in the upcoming elections. The addition of new members from other parties not only strengthens Majid's position but also enhances his capacity to address the needs and aspirations of the people of Bandipora.
