Zero Tolerance: For Terrorism There is No Negotiation
The Union Home Secretary has reiterated the unshakeable stance of the government regarding terrorism-in regard to any form of terror activity, there would be a policy of zero tolerance. The statement made it clear that national security would take place not under negotiation or compromise.
Although this government has maintained its stance throughout, this statement is made while certain parts of the country have raised security concerns. The Home Secretary's remark indicates that the government will resort to every possible measure, such as advanced surveillance, intelligence sharing, and a coordinated security response along with states, to counter terrorism-the whole critical fight against terrorism is far from over; vigilance from the country for any forces that try to destroy peace remains open-ended.
This zero-tolerance approach is not only indicative of the seriousness of the government but also that it has the obligation to protect its citizens from all threats, whether external or internal. With the political will backing them, security forces are expected to continue operations at the same level of vigor to ensure that no terrorism takes root in India. The nation currently faces some challenges from this perspective but is absolutely resolute against defeating terrorism.
