Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently celebrated the eighth anniversary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state and the gains made under what he described as a "double-engine government."
Addressing a press conference on March 24, 2025, Adityanath reflected on the revolutionary transformations made during his tenure and attributed this to coordination between the state and the central governments.
Adityanath emphasized the government's guiding principles in his speech: service, security, and governance. Adityanath also thanked the people of Uttar Pradesh for having remained steadfast behind his government, which, as he claimed, has made the government that successful.
"With the inspirational leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we have now achieved eight years with these guiding principles in mind," he stated.
Chief Minister also issued an overall report card of some of the achievements, including infrastructure creation, delivery of public services, and security of the state. The milestone has been celebrated all over the state with celebrations, confirming the government's determination to gain momentum for development.
The Adityanath government has been described as law-and-order, development-oriented, and welfare-oriented.
The Chief Minister's assertion at a time when Uttar Pradesh is yet to emerge as a major contributor towards India's economic progress, reflects the BJP's vision for Uttar Pradesh's economically more prosperous future.
