Kupwara, Jammu & Kashmir, Dec 17: The Border Security Force (BSF), under the aegis of Kashmir Frontier, on Tuesday organised a Bharat Darshan Tour for girl students hailing from the border areas of District Kupwara. The tour was flagged off on December 17, 2025, by 139 Battalion BSF from Trehgam, Kupwara.
A total of 16 girl students from Government Upper Primary School Mandian, Government Higher Secondary School Mandian, Government High School Kundian, Government Upper Primary School Patroo and Government Higher Secondary School Keran, accompanied by one female teacher, are participating in the tour.
The six-day Bharat Darshan Tour, scheduled from December 17 to December 23, 2025, will take the students to prominent destinations in Jodhpur and Delhi. During the tour, the students will visit key historical, cultural and tourist sites, enabling them to experience India’s rich heritage and its multicultural and multilingual fabric.
The initiative is part of BSF’s sustained efforts to promote national integration and strengthen people-to-people connect in the border areas of Kupwara. The Bharat Darshan Tour aims to broaden the horizons of young students, instil a sense of national unity, and provide first-hand exposure to the developmental progress across different regions of the country.
