In a major demonstration at Patiala, Punjab, Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath's wife, along with ex-servicemen, sought justice as police personnel allegedly beat up her husband and son. The incident had taken place on the night of March 13-14 when Colonel Bath and his son were said to be attacked by 12 policemen due to a parking row at a roadside restaurant.

While protesting, Jasvinder Kaur Bath alleged the police had beaten her husband and son brutally, causing them severe injuries. She complained about the inaction of the authorities and said that despite their repeated demands for justice, they have shown no concern but instead intimidated them. The family demanded a CBI investigation into the incident and refused the inquiry by the state government as inadequate.

Punjab Police have suspended the accused officers and opened a departmental inquiry; however, the family of Colonel Bath demands that an FIR be renewed on Colonel Bath's statement, not that of a witness. They also want the accused officers' names to be disclosed.

The demonstration was followed by support from many ex-servicemen, who solidarity with Colonel Bath's family. They threatened to have further demonstrations if their demands are not fulfilled for accountability, with the argument that the integrity of armed forces personnel should be maintained. The state of affairs continues to be tense since the family and followers are still demanding justice in this disturbing case.
