Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday presented a detailed report card of the BJP-led government as it completed its first year in office. Speaking at the inauguration of redevelopment works at a district park, Gupta outlined development initiatives worth Rs 250 crore for the Vidhan Sabha and major projects totaling Rs 10,000 crore across the national capital.
“This report card includes work completed or initiated in the last year, as well as plans we are actively implementing,” Gupta said. She highlighted the redevelopment of the district park, including a new gate, repaired footpaths, renovated fountains, upgraded toilets, and improved boundary walls. Work on fountains has also begun across other Vidhan Sabha and DDA parks in Delhi.
In addition to park renovations, Gupta emphasized Delhi’s push toward sustainable transport. Speaking ahead of the launch of 500 electric buses, she said, “Delhi will soon become the state with the maximum number of EV buses. This is part of our commitment to cleaner, greener public transport.”
The launch of the 500 EV buses and the Delhi-Panipat Inter-State Bus Service will take place at Ramlila Maidan, with BJP National President Nitin Nabin in attendance. Gupta thanked the people of Delhi for their trust in the BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying it has enabled the administration to work “365 days a year” for public welfare.
Over the past year, the BJP government has focused on urban redevelopment, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure improvements, including roads, parks, and public transport. Gupta’s presentation underlined the party’s emphasis on accountability by providing citizens a clear overview of completed projects and upcoming initiatives.
As Delhi prepares for further development, the government aims to combine modernization with citizen-friendly public services, while also setting a benchmark for the rapid implementation of large-scale urban projects.
