Irrigation Department Kulgam Launches Cleanliness Drive at Amnoo Canal

Kulgam: The Irrigation Department of Kulgam has launched a cleanliness drive at the Amnoo Canal, responding to the long-standing request of local residents. Seasonal laborers actively participated in clearing debris and maintaining the canal in preparation for the upcoming irrigation season.

The canal, crucial for irrigation in the area, is expected to see improved efficiency, reducing waterlogging and boosting agricultural productivity. Local residents have welcomed the initiative, calling for its continuation in the future.

Additionally, during the drive, seasonal workers appealed to the Lieutenant Governor's administration to make casual laborers permanent employees, ensuring job security and stability. The community has expressed strong support for this request, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the workers' contributions to public services.
