On October 8, 2025, Anuradha, a 35-year-old woman from Bhatiana village, and her husband Hariom were riding their motorcycle to the Gulawathi market to buy items for the festival when a speeding truck collided with them near the Middle Ganga Canal bridge on the Dhaulana-Gulawathi road.
The truck driver lost control while trying to avoid a pothole on the poorly maintained road, leading to a horrifying crash that killed Anuradha on the spot. Witnesses reported the gruesome sight of her heart coming out of her chest and continuing to beat briefly on the road as her husband looked on in anguish.
