"We cannot let Kathua be consumed by hatred and violence," Mufti said. "The peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir are under threat, and we need to take steps now to stop this from getting worse."
She also called on the authorities to encourage dialogue and hold accountable those who are fueling hatred. Mufti stressed that lasting peace in the region depends on people respecting each other and living together peacefully.
