According to a recent NDTV Lifestyle report, choosing the right morning drink may help boost metabolism, improve digestion, and support weight management when combined with a healthy lifestyle.

Green tea tops the list due to its high content of catechins and caffeine, compounds known to increase energy expenditure and thermogenesis. Studies suggest that green tea can enhance metabolism and promote faster fat burning when consumed regularly.

Coconut water is another recommended option. Naturally low in calories and rich in electrolytes like potassium and magnesium, it helps maintain hydration and is often advised as a light pre-workout drink that is easy on the stomach.

Warm lemon water, a popular morning ritual, is rich in vitamin C and has been linked to better digestion and appetite control. Research indicates it may help reduce calorie intake, curb unnecessary snacking, and reset hydration levels after sleep.

Bulletproof coffee a blend of black coffee and ghee has also gained attention. The presence of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) in ghee may support quick energy use and promote a feeling of fullness, potentially reducing food cravings later in the day.

Lastly, turmeric milk earns its place for its anti-inflammatory benefits. Curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, supports gut health, aids fat digestion, and helps soothe the digestive system when consumed warm in the morning.

Experts caution that while these drinks can support weight loss, they are not substitutes for medical advice. For best results, they should be paired with balanced nutrition, exercise, and professional guidance.
