Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the silver jubilee celebration of Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day on November 1, commemorating 25 years since the state’s formation. He will arrive in Raipur on the evening of October 31 and stay overnight before participating in a series of events across the state capital the following day.

During his visit, Modi will interact with 2,500 children at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, inaugurate the new building of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris organization, dedicate the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building, and open the Tribal Museum. The visit is expected to draw thousands of citizens as the state celebrates its achievements and progress over the last quarter-century.

The Chhattisgarh government highlighted coordinated efforts with the central government to tackle Maoist extremism. These initiatives, including effective rehabilitation policies, have reportedly encouraged an increase in voluntary surrenders by Maoist cadres. Officials said Modi’s presence during the silver jubilee events is anticipated to further strengthen development efforts, foster public trust, and energize the state’s growth initiatives.

Preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit are underway, with detailed arrangements to ensure smooth execution of all programmes. The celebrations mark an important milestone for Chhattisgarh, reflecting both its socio-economic progress and cultural heritage since its creation on November 1, 2000.

Modi’s visit comes amid a period of focus on governance, infrastructure development, and public engagement in Chhattisgarh. The combination of ceremonial and developmental events aims to highlight the state’s journey over the past 25 years and showcase ongoing initiatives that impact citizens’ daily lives. The celebrations also underscore the central government’s engagement with state-level milestones, symbolizing national support for regional achievements.

The silver jubilee event is expected to be a high-profile occasion, reinforcing Chhattisgarh’s identity and achievements while providing an opportunity for citizens to witness and participate in national-level leadership engagement.
