Farmers in Punjab has announced the protest outside the homes of the Aam Aadmi Party(MARCH MLAs) in March, 10, raising its stake for opposition against the current state government. They have also thrown into the mix an open challenge for the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to a public debate concerning their demands and grievances.

It is the case of the ongoing agitation of farmers against issues such as fair MSPs, waivers on loans and other agricultural policies, wherein, as claimed by the farmers, the government has backtracked on its promises while combatting the complaints they have put forth. If the government was indeed confident of its position, leaders of the protesting farmer unions have said that Bhagwant Mann should agree to engage in an open debate before the public with them.

They believe such an event will scrutinize the fact about the government's promise and action. Widespread protests are expected, as there will be demonstrations outside the residences of several AAP legislators. Security measures may be tightened to avoid occasions of untoward incidents. This demonstration comes at a time when farmers across India are continuing their fight for agricultural reforms. The Punjab government now faces increased pressure to respond to the farmers' demands and find a resolution to avoid further escalation.
