Rahul Gandhi targets RSS-BJP in interaction with students in Rae Bareli

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Thursday interacted with students in Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli and emphasised on value of English language.

“If you learn this language, you can go anywhere,” he said. 

He further said, “Mohan Bhagwat (RSS chief) says speak in Hindi, yet the children of RSS and BJP leaders’ study in English-medium schools and even study in England.”

Congress leader was interacting with students of 'Mool Bharti' hostel near Bargad Chauraha. He was accompanied by Congress Amethi MP Kishori Lal Sharma and other party leaders.

He later offered prayers to Lord Hanuman at Churuva border. Gandhi is in his parliamentary constituency - Rae Bareli on a two-day visit. He later addressed the party workers and targeted BJP, Adani and Ambani for inflation and unemployment in the country.

Gandhi participated in many other programmes besides interacting with Dalit youth.

Accusing BJP for inflation, he said that demonetisation and GST have increased inflation in the country while Adani has increased unemployment by selling Chinese goods in the country.

Showing the students copy of the Constitution, Gandhi talked about the atrocities committed against their ancestors. He said that the solution to the untouchability and insult that was being done against Dalits for thousands of years is in the book of the Constitution.

Later, he interacted with women in Uttarpara and saluted Nari Shakti and condemned the atrocities being committed on women. He said that former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati definitely took forward the dreams of Kashiram but Congress wanted to contest the elections against BJP.

Targeting the BJP government, he said that this government wants to abolish the constitution. He said that today the government undertakings like airports, ports and railways of the country are being sold.

Gandhi said that the Congress had started the Bharat Jodo Yatra against the disruptive forces of the country where a journey of 4,000 kilometres was undertaken.

Targeting big industrialists including Adani and Ambani, he said that today two India's are being formed, one is of the rich and the other are poor. He said that during the Corona period, a loan of 1 lakh crore of some selected industrialists was waived and till now a loan of 16 lakh crore has been waived.

He said that 70 lakh new voters increased in the Maharashtra assembly elections. "When I asked for the list as to how it happened, the Election Commission did not give the list till date, you can guess from this. I have been raising this issue regularly in the Lok Sabha and in public meetings," he said.

The MP asked the common people to stand with the Congress to fight against the problems of the country.
