Samba Drug Raid Turns Violent: SHO Among Two Officers Critically Injured

The entire area witnessed a horrific incident in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police personnel were attacked while conducting an operation against a drug gang. According to sources, a police team conducted an operation on Saturday night based on specific information in search of a drug gang. The operation was led by the Officer-in-Charge (SHO) of the concerned police station. But in the middle of the operation, drug peddlers attacked the police team in a group.

In this sudden attack, two police officers were seriously injured, including the OCO of the police station. The condition of the injured was so critical that they were quickly airlifted to Amritsar hospital in Punjab.

Tension spread in Samba district after this incident. Extensive security has been tightened in the area and a search operation has been launched to arrest the accused drug peddlers.  Jammu and Kashmir Police said that strict legal action will be taken against the attackers and such crimes will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

This incident has once again made it clear how organized and dangerous drug traffickers are becoming in different parts of the country. Besides, this incident is a glaring example of how much danger police personnel are facing while protecting the society.
