Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva celebrated Holi at the party office on Friday, marking the festival by applying gulal to party workers and sharing the joy of the occasion.
Sachdeva expressed that this year’s Holi feels even more special as the BJP government has been formed in Delhi. He stated, "We celebrate Holi every year, but this time, the excitement and happiness are different as Delhi now has a BJP government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi."
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also extended her wishes to the residents, saying, "This festival is not just about colours but symbolizes the victory of truth, strong relationships, and brotherhood. Let us celebrate Holi in a safe, harmonious, and environmentally friendly way. May we respect each other, spread love and unity, and work together for a prosperous and happy Delhi."
Earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh conveyed his greetings, saying, "Heartfelt wishes to everyone on the joyous occasion of Holi. May this festival bring happiness, new energy, and good health into your lives."
While the festival was being celebrated with much fanfare, the prime minister, Narendra Modi, also conveyed his message saying, "May this festival of joy and happiness fill everyone's life with new vigour and strengthen the ties of brotherhood among citizens."President Droupadi Murmu wished everyone on X: "This festival symbolises love, unity, and India's great tradition. Let us promise to make prosperity, progress, and happiness reach every citizen of Mother India."
