U.S. President Donald Trump didn't hold back with his recent comments about the alarming global situation. "World War III is not too far away, but..." is his doom-laden warning, where he expresses grave concern about continuing conflict and instability across the globe.
According to Trump, international diplomacy has gotten more difficult over time. Current conflicts, such as those between Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Palestine, as well as rising tensions, have resulted in a very unstable world between the USA and China. The possibilities for relations among major powers might push the world into catastrophe.
He said that the current administration must avoid any decision that would draw in the United States. Otherwise, the world would pay a heavy price; however, the second part of his remark-"but." He goes on to suggest that there now exists a window of opportunity to avoid such a catastrophic disaster and allows space for prevention through diplomacy and strong leadership.
On a further note, he said, "We need a strong and visionary leadership to make America safe and great." Through this, he positioned himself as the ideal candidate for the upcoming elections.
Global politics are at a monumental juncture. It is during these times that world leaders should work together to display responsible leadership if a disaster, such as World War III, is to be avoided.
