YouTuber Arrested for Obstructing Priyanka Gandhi's Convoy

YouTuber Aneesh Abraham has been detained in Thrissur, Kerala, for allegedly obstructing the convoy of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. This was around 9:30 PM on March 30, 2025, at Mannuthy Bypass Junction while Vadra was on her way from Vandoor, Malappuram, to Kochi Airport after visiting a series of programs in her constituency.

Abraham had apparently brought his vehicle to a halt in front of the convoy in anger at the pilot car's beeping, clearing the road for Vadra, the police sources said. When a police party, under the direction of Mannuthy Sub Inspector, tried to clear the hurdle, Abraham allegedly abused them. The police hence booked him for willfully causing obstruction to the convoy, risking lives, and disobeying police orders.

Abraham was apprehended but subsequently released on station bail. His car was also taken away during the incident. 

The event has been a subject of discussion regarding security arrangements for political figures and citizens' responsibility in ensuring public order.
