Zimbabwe is all to experience one of the largest international domestic seasons of the history of cricket. Zimbabwe will be hosting a Test series against South Africa and New Zealand and a thrilling T20 (T20 International) tri-nation series. The highly anticipated cricket season will kick off on June 28 and will go on till August 11.
Test series: Zimbabwe-South Africa and New Zealand to battle again after a long hiatus
At the beginning of the tour, Zimbabwe will play a two-test match Test series with South Africa in Bulawayo from June 28. The second match will be scheduled on July 6. Both the teams will confront each other in Test cricket after a lengthy seven years. Zimbabwe last toured South Africa with the Boxing Day Test in December 2017, where Zimbabwe was defeated by an innings and 120 runs.
Following South Africa, there is another two-match Test series with New Zealand. The two-match series against New Zealand is also scheduled in Bulawayo, the first match to commence on July 30 and the second on August 7. New Zealand last toured Zimbabwe in 2016 and beat the Test series 2-0.
T20 Tri-series: New level of excitement
Following the Test series, T20 Tri-series will start in which Zimbabwe, South Africa and New Zealand will be competing. All the games of this series will be organized in Harare. Every team will play with each other twice in the league stage, from July 14 to July 24. Finally, the last two teams will compete for the trophy in the final game on July 26.
With this series, Zimbabwe is set to host a T20 Tri-series once again after six years. They had previously hosted a Tri-series against Australia and Pakistan in 2018, which was won by Pakistan.

The Test and T20 series against South Africa and New Zealand, two of the world's leading cricketing nations, are a good platform for our players to demonstrate their skills. It will also contribute towards enhancing the popularity of cricket in Zimbabwe at the same time."
