Rahul: Adani Shielded by Govt

In a scathing attack on the central government, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused it of shielding industrialist Gautam Adani from legal accountability. Speaking at a recent rally, Gandhi alleged that Adani, who faces allegations of financial misconduct, would be in jail if not for the government's intervention.

"The truth is clear—Adani should be in jail, but the government is doing everything to protect him," Gandhi declared, reiterating his demand for an independent investigation into the allegations. He suggested that the administration's inaction points to a larger nexus of power and corruption.

The accusations stem from reports of alleged financial irregularities involving Adani Group companies. Gandhi claimed that the government has consistently avoided taking meaningful action, even as opposition parties and investigative bodies have raised concerns.

While the central government has dismissed these allegations as politically motivated, the Congress party insists that the lack of accountability undermines the nation’s democratic institutions. Gandhi also highlighted the growing disparity between the wealthy elite and ordinary citizens, arguing that corporate favoritism comes at the expense of public welfare.

In response, BJP leaders have called Gandhi’s remarks baseless, accusing him of sensationalizing issues for political mileage ahead of the upcoming elections. However, the Congress leader remains steadfast, emphasizing that the people deserve answers.

As debates over transparency and accountability continue to dominate the political landscape, Gandhi’s remarks have reignited public discourse on the relationship between big business and governance in India.
