Farmers have reported that they are facing a shortage of production of tomatoes due to extreme heat waves and delayed monsoon, also late arrival of the monsoon is causing widespread rain & floods in a few parts of India which is directly affecting the production of tomatoes & this tends to hike in prices from Rs 20/kg to Rs 100 /kg.
