MLA Kulgam Presides Over Fitment Camp, Distributes Aids Among CWSNs

Kulgam, August 12: A distribution-cum-fitment camp under Samagra Shiksha was today held at Government Middle School Bongam, aimed at supporting Children with Special Needs (CWSNs) through the provision of aids and appliances.


The event, presided over by Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kulgam, M.Y. Tarigami, was organized by the Zonal Education Office Kulgam in collaboration with an expert team from ALIMCO, Kanpur. The aids were distributed among CWSNs assessed under the Inclusive Education initiative.


Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included DDC Chairperson M. Afazal Parray, DDC Member Kulgam-B Gh. Mohi-ud-Din, DDC Member Qaimoh M. Abass Rather, and Chief Education Officer Kulgam M. Shabir.


Addressing the gathering, Tarigami and other dignitaries lauded the Education Department’s efforts in creating opportunities and robust support systems for CWSNs, ensuring their integration into the mainstream education system. Tarigami stressed the importance of collective responsibility in extending care, inclusion, and consistent support to such students.


The programme saw enthusiastic participation from students, parents, teachers, and Education Department officials. Various aids and appliances were distributed, enabling the beneficiaries to pursue education with greater ease, confidence, and dignity.
