The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the first phase of Class 12 verification and re-evaluation results for students who had applied for a review of their board examination answer sheets. The revised results have been made available online through DigiLocker, allowing students to access their updated scorecards.
According to CBSE, more than 87 percent of the applications received for verification and re-evaluation have been processed and declared in the first phase. The board stated that the review process was conducted through a robust evaluation system to ensure transparency and accuracy in the assessment of answer scripts.
The announcement comes amid concerns raised by several students and parents regarding the Online Scanned Marking (OSM) system used during the 2026 board examinations. Following widespread feedback, CBSE had opened a special window for students to apply for verification of marks, scrutiny of evaluation issues, and re-evaluation of specific answers.
Students who applied for the review process can now check whether there has been any change in their marks by downloading the revised scorecard from the official DigiLocker portal. CBSE has clarified that marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged after the re-evaluation process, depending on the findings of the review.
The board is expected to continue releasing the remaining results in phases over the coming days. Students awaiting their revised marks have been advised to regularly check official CBSE platforms for further updates.
The release of the re-evaluation results is expected to provide relief to thousands of students seeking clarity on their performance and pursuing admissions to higher education institutions across the country.
